Frequently asked questions
Is membership really free?
Yes. There is no fee to apply, no fee to be listed, and no subscription for Founding Advisor Network members at launch. If the commercial model ever changes, founding advisors will be told first, and nothing about your membership changes without notice.
What does the vetting involve?
Two human gates. First, an application review: we read your background, certifications, service lines, and motivation, and we admit selectively. Second, credential verification: after approval you upload supporting documents (certification, identity, and optionally insurance), and your profile only carries the verified mark after a person has reviewed them.
Do I need an account to apply?
No. The application is a single public form. If you are approved before creating an account, your approval links to your account automatically when you sign up with the same email.
What kind of work comes through the network?
Advisory engagements across six service lines: cyber governance, privacy management, AI governance, third-party risk, incident readiness, and certification readiness. Client organizations already run their programs on RiskSensai, so requests arrive with scope and context rather than as cold leads.
Who sees my information?
Your application is visible only to our review team. A public profile exists only after you are approved, verified, and choose to go live, and it never includes your application answers or your documents.
What if I hold a credential that is not on your list?
Apply anyway and select "other". The certification list covers the most common designations, but the review looks at the whole application, including experience that is not certificate-shaped.
Can an MSP or vCISO practice join, or only individuals?
Both. The application has a firm track for MSPs, vCISO practices, and consultancies: your practice joins as supply, your clients get a governed platform for evidence, scope, and audit trail, and you keep the client relationship. The same two human gates apply -- application review and credential verification -- and the practitioners who deliver the work are the ones verified.
